Contains a total of 26 center activities (13 math center activities and 13 literacy center activities). All activities are common core aligned with standards included.

All activities include:
-a table of contents
-recording sheets to hold students accountable for their work
-kid-friendly “I Can” posters to promote independence
-an answer key for easy checking
-follow-up print-and-go activities/worksheets to reinforce the skills covered in this packet.

Here's an idea of the activities included:
-“Dab the Noun” – Students will determine if the picture is a person, place, or thing and dab their answer. (L.K.1b)

-“Sentence Detectives” – Students will fix and rewrite sentences not beginning with a capital letter. (L.K.2a)

-“Change the Sound” – Students will read a CVC word and change the sound to make a new word. 2 levels included: change the beginning sound, CVCE words. (L.K.1a, RF.K.2e, RF.K.3a)

-”Rainy Day Reading” – Students will read a simple sentence and match it to the picture. (RF.K.4)

-“Turtle-y Great Blends” – Students will identify the beginning L blend of a given word/picture. (L.K.1a, RF.K.3a)

-“Rainy Day {r Blends} Dab” – Students will identify the beginning R blend of a given word/picture. (L.K.1a, RF.K.3a)

-“Secret Code Sight Words” – Students will identify the beginning sound of each picture to “break the code” and spell a sight word. (L.K.1a, RF.K.3a)

-”Sentence Shuffle” – Students will unscramble a set of cards and put them in order to create a sentence. (L.K.1, L.K.2)

-“Long and Short Vowel Dab” – Students will sort picture cards by short and long vowels. (RF.K.3b)

-”Short Vowel Showers” – Students will identify the short vowel sound of a CVC word and then spell the word to record it on their paper. (RF.K.3a. RF.K.3b)

-“Write the Room” – Includes a stationary option as well as the traditional walking around the room. (L.K.1a, RF.K.1b)

-“Real or Nonsense Word Sort” – Students will read a CVC word to determine if it is a real word or a nonsense word. (RF.K.2c, RF.K.2d, RF.K.3a)

-“Digraph Dab” – Students will identify the beginning or ending digraph {ch, sh, th} of a given word/picture. (RF.K.2)

-“Secret Code Number Words” – Students will identify the beginning sound of each picture to spell a number word.

-“Goin’ Buggy with Tally Marks” – Students will count a set of objects on a card and match it to the corresponding tally mark card. (K.CC.B.5)

-“Count On and Dab” – Students will begin counting at a given number and use the pictures to count on. (K.CC.A.2)

-“Rainy Day Tens Frames” – Students will match the addition sentence to the ten frames cards for teen numbers. (K.NBT.A.1)

-“Rainy Day Number Order” – Students will unscramble a set of numbers and put them in order. (2 levels included, numbers to 20 and 30) (K.CC.A.2, K.CC.A.3)

-“Rainy Day Addition” – Students will use the pictures on the card to create an addition sentence. (K.OA.A.2)

-“Earth Day Subtraction” – Students will use the pictures on the card to create a subtraction sentence. (K.OA.A.2)

-“Compare and Dab” – Students will use the symbols < > and = to compare two numbers (2 levels included, numbers to 10 and 20). (K.CC.C.7)

-“Spring Chicks Base Ten Dab” – Students will count the base ten blocks and record the number on their paper. (2 levels included, numbers to 20 and 30). (K.CC.A.3, K.NBT.A.1)

-“Let’s Make Ten” – Students will use the ten frame to make an addition sentence equal to ten. (K.OA.A.4)

-“Rainy Day Number Bond Dab” – Students will determine which number is needed to complete the number bond. They will use a bingo dabber to “dab” their answer. (K.OA.3)

-“Count and Compare” – Students will count and total two sets of objects and then use the symbols < > or = to compare the numbers. (2 levels included) (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-”A Garden of Tens and Ones” – Students will count a given number of objects to determine to “tens”, “ones”, and “in all” of the set. (K.CC.A.3, K.NBT.A.1)
