Beginning Sounds | Initial Sound Activity

Description

This is a quick, easy-to-prep initial sound activity to help students practice beginning sounds. They just write, then wipe! 

Students will say the name of the picture to identify the beginning sound. Students will use a dry-erase marker or magnetic letters to show their answers. You could also write letters on clothes pins or water bottle lids for students to use.

Easy prep! Just print, cut apart, and laminate the activity cards.  It's a great initial sound activity to use for literacy centers or stations.

This packet includes:

• 8 sets of activity cards. Each set of activity cards contains 20 pictures. (Activity cards are color coded for easy organization)
• 3 “I Can” visual direction pages to promote independence
• Recording sheet to hold students accountable for their work (optional)
• Answer Key for easy checking
