This set of uppercase and lowercase alphabet mat printable resources will put those to good use and let your students practice forming the letters of the alphabet with them! This activity will make teaching {and learning} the alphabet fun, engaging and hands-on.

3 ways to use the Build the Letter alphabet mat printable:

Build the Letter 1: Students will use small erasers, plastic linking cubes, play dough or other small classroom manipulatives to form the uppercase and lowercase letters on the mat. Using a dry erase marker, students will write the letters at the bottom. This option provided arrows and guided practice.

Build the Letter 2: Students will select a letter card and place it on the activity mat. They will use the directional arrows on the letter card to form the letter using mini erasers, play dough, or plastic linking cubes. An uppercase set and separate lowercase set is included.

Build the Letter 3: This activity is perfect for introducing letters in small group guided reading. Play dough or small mini erasers work best with this activity. Students will use the mini erasers to form the uppercase and lowercase letters.
