This resource includes 26 alphabet no-prep pages to practice letter recognition, beginning sounds, and simple alphabet sentences. The sentences follow a predictable text which is perfect for beginning readers.
There are 21 consonant pages and 5 vowel pages. All of the vowel pages include short vowel pictures – except for the letter Uu, which includes two short vowels and two long vowels.
Students will identify the target letter and beginning sound pictures. They will trace the sentence starters using a pencil or marker. Then they will use the words in the word box to complete the sentences. When they are finished, they can read the sentences and color the pictures.
At the bottom of the page, students are prompted to hunt for the target letter. They will identify the letter in each box and color the boxes that show the letter. You could also have students use highlighters or bingo dabbers to show the letter.
