## Description

This fall activities and partner games resource includes both math and literacy activities. It’s perfect for Kindergarteners during the fall months. Activities are interactive and kid-friendly. Your students will love the activities because they are exciting and engaging; you will LOVE them because the prep-work is super easy and minimal.

Fall themes included in this packet are: all things fall, fall kids, lots of pumpkins, hay, fall leaves, scarecrows, apples, and acorns. Please note: There are no Halloween themed activities in this fall packet.

This packet contains a total of 31 different activities. Note: Some of the activities have multiple version or very similar versions, so you can use the activities more than once, without having to re-explain directions to your students. Some activities are to be played individually, while others are meant to be played with a partner or small group.

All activities include a kid-friendly “I Can” visual directions to promote independence. A table of contents is included to help you easily find the skills or activities you need.

-Spin 4 in a Row: Students will play with a partner. They will spin the spinner, count the ten frame, and cover the number on their card. (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Roll, Count, and Color: Students will practice subsidizing by rolling a die and coloring the apple with the same number of circles. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Apple Seeds: Students will roll a die and write the number. 2 differentiated versions included. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Fall Leaves: Students will spin the spinner, trace the number using the color code, and then write the numbers on their own. (K.CC.A.3)

-Count and Color: Students will count a set of objects on the activity mat and color the objects on their paper to show how many. 2 activities included. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Plenty of Pumpkins: Students will roll a die, write the number, and count to fill in the numbers that come before and after. (K.CC.A.2, K.CC.A.3)

-Number Spin: Students will spin the spinner, count the pumpkins, and record their answer. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.5)

-Pumpkin Frames: Students will roll the ten frame die and count the ten frame. To show their work, they will record the number and show the number on the ten frame. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Fall Leaves/Ten Frames: Students will use the color code to color the numbers and ten frames 2 activities included. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Pumpkin Palooza: Students will spin the spinner, record the number, and draw pumpkin seeds to show the number. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Piles of Five: Students will use manipulatives to practice composing and decomposing five. (K.OA.A.3)

-Pumpkin Shapes: Students will spin the spinner, find the matching shape on their paper, and color it to match the color on the spinner. (K.G.A.2, K.MD.B.3)

-Roll and Cover: Partner game to practice numbers within 6. (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.4)

-Fall Patterns: Students will copy and extend ABB and ABC patterns using plastic linking cubes. Recording sheet included. 2 activities included.

-Acorns Everywhere!: Students will roll the cube, count the acorns, find the number on their paper and color it to match the books. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Leave it to Numbers: A partner game to practice numbers to 10 (or to 5). Can be played 3 different ways. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Spin and Write: Students will spin the spinner to determine the writing utensils. They will practice writing their name. (L.K.1a)

-Let’s Build a Name: Students will build and write their name or the name of classmates. Construction themed, so this can used year round. (L.K.1a)

-Sunflower Sounds: Students will roll the cube, say the letter sound, and find a picture with the same beginning sound. (RF.K.3a)

-Beginning Sounds: Students will spin the spinner, say the beginning sound, find a picture with the matching beginning sound. (RF.K.3a)

-Scarecrow Sounds: Students will say the name of a picture and identify the beginning sound. They will find the letter on their paper and trace it using the color code. (RF.K.3a, L.K.1a)

-Apple Letters: Students will spin the spinner and write an uppercase or lowercase letter. Optional alphabet lines included for additional support. (RF.K.1d, L.K.1a)

-The Colors of Fall: Students will select an uppercase letter card. They will trace or write the matching lowercase letter on their paper (2 options included). (RF.K.1d, L.K.1a)

-Spin and Cover: Students will play a game to practice sorting letters, words, and sentences.

-Spinner Activities: 4 activities included – beginning sounds and uppercase/lowercase letter recognition. (RF.K.3a, L.K.1a, RF,K.1d)

-Letter Order: Students will write the number and fill in the letters that come after or before and after. An alphabet line is on the page for additional support. 2 activities included. (RF.K.1d, L.K.1a)

-Letter Strips: Students will use magnetic letters to show the matching uppercase letter to the given lowercase letter. A recording sheet is included. (RF.K.1a, L.K.1a)

-Pumpkin Words: Students will use magnetic letters to show the beginning and ending sounds of simple CVC words.

-Fall Rhyming Mats: Students will match the rhyming picture card to the card on the mat. Pictures are simple CVC words, made just for beginning rhymers. 2 activities included. (RF.K.2)

-Pumpkin Patch Sight Words: Students will use the pumpkin cards to build sight words on the “pumpkin patch” cards. Sight words included: can, go, like, is, me, see, the, we. Includes a blank version so that you can write in your own sight words. (RF.K.3)

-Sight Words: Students will match the sight words to their paper and trace/write them. Sight words included: we, the, like, go, see, at. Also includes a blank version so that you can write in your own sight words. (RF.K.3.c, L.K.1a)
