Alphabet Tic-Tac-Toe is a fun letter recognition game that students will play with a partner.

This resource includes 26 Tic-Tac-Toe type games to practice uppercase and lowercase letters. A color version and a black and white version are included.

This Alphabet Tic-Tac-Toe activity is easy to prep. Just print the game mat and corresponding letter cards. You can laminate the game mat or slide it in a page protector. Store the game mat and corresponding letter cards in a large zip-top bag or in a page protector.

One player will be the uppercase cards and the other player will be the lowercase cards. Students will play the game using the rules of traditional Tic-Tac-Toe. The first player to place their cards three in a row is the winner. Students can play the game again and switch cards.

Tip: To help students decide which player goes first, supply students with a dot cube. Have each student roll the dot cube. The player that rolls the bigger number goes first.
