Description
This activity helps students practice letter recognition and sounds while making it fun! It is a perfect activity for the days leading up to Thanksgiving break.
The activity works great in whole groups or as a quick time filler.
How to Play:

Students chant the “Tom the Turkey” poem together as a class.

A student draws a letter card from the basket or pie pan and identifies the name and sound.

Then, the student returns the card to the basket.

You can take turns as many times as time allows.
Both uppercase and lowercase letter cards are included. You can use all uppercase cards, all lowercase cards, or a mix of upper and lowercase cards.
Two recording sheets are also included. These are great for keeping the class focused and on task. Each student needs their own recording sheet. They find and color the chosen letter on their page.
