It's All Fun & Games Back to School Math & Literacy Activities for Kindergarten

This math activity and partner game pack is perfect for Kindergarteners as they head back to school! Activities include basic beginning of the year Kindergarten skills. Your kids will love the activities because they are fun and engaging; you will LOVE them because the prep-work is super easy and minimal.

Themes included in this packet are: school kids, back packs, school supplies, and apples.

This packet contains a total of 16 different activities. Note: Some of the activities have multiple version or very similar versions, so you can use the activities more than once, without having to re-explain directions to your students. Some activities are to be played individually, while others are meant to be played with a partner.

All activities include a kid-friendly “I Can” visual directions to promote independence. A table of contents is included to help you easily find the skills or activities you need.

-Roll 4 in a Row: Students will play with a partner. They will roll the die, count the dots, and cover the number on their card. (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.4)

-Roll, Count, and Trace: Students will roll a die and trace the number (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-What Comes After?: Students will roll the die, write the number, and count on. (K.CC.A.2)

-Number Roll: Students will roll a die and write the number. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Count and Color: Students will count a set of objects on the activity mat and color the objects on their paper to show how many. 2 activities included. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Spin and Write Numbers: Students will spin the spinner and write/trace the number using the color on the spinner (K.CC.A.3)

-Number Mats: Students will make the numbers to 10 using play dough or other manipulatives. (K.CC.A.3)

-Number Spin: Students will spin the spinner, count the dots and write the number. (K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.5)

-Roll and Match: Students will roll die, find the matching set of dots on their paper and color. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Ten Frame Roll: Students will roll the cube, count the ten frame (to #6) and color the matching ten frame on their paper. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Shape Search: Students will roll the cube, find the matching shape on their paper, and color it to match the color on the cube. (K.G.A.2, K.MD.B.3)

-Number or Shape Sort: Students will sort the number and shape cards and show their work on the recording sheet (K.MD.B.3)

-We Love Books: Students will roll the cube, count the number of books, find the number on their paper and color it to match the books. (K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)

-Colors All Around: Students will spin the spinner and determine the color. They will find a real life object on their paper and color it. (K.MD.3)

-Roll and Cover: Partner game to practice numbers within 6. (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.4)

-Pattern Power: Students will copy patterns using plastic linking cubes. Recording sheet included.
