These 11 hands-on games are all low-prep, and easy to use. They include multiple versions, or sets of cards, which allow you to differentiate, and pick and choose which letters are best for your students to practice right now.

The 11 Alphabet Games included in this set are:

Letter Shuffle – Students will identify letters on the cards that they turn over, and move forward on their game board if they identify it correctly.

Memory Match – Students will play a traditional game of memory, as they turn over and match uppercase and lowercase letters.

Letter Gameboards – This game includes multiple games boards that have a few letters on each. Students will have a pile of cards with the corresponding letters. They will draw a card, and move their piece on their board to the closest letter that matches their card.

Roll and Recognize – This game includes multiple game board choices with a variety of uppercase or lowercase letters for students to identify. Students will roll the dice, move that many spaces, and then identify the letter on their space. To make it a bit of a challenge, students can also say the beginning sound of that letter.

Letter Party/Chef – This game includes 2 different game mats to choose from in 2 different versions. Both versions offer an uppercase or lowercase mat. Students will need a plastic spinner to play the game. They will take a turn spinning the spinner, and then moving their game piece of that corresponding letter on their mat.

Roll, Say, and Cover – Each game mat includes a dice key and matching letters. Students will roll the dice, see how many dots they have, and see what letter matches that number of dots. They will then find their letter on the game mat and cover it up with a manipulative.

Letter Games – Each game mat includes a dice key and matching letters. Students will roll the dice, see how many dots they have, and see what letter matches that number of dots. They will place a cube next to that letter on their mat. Each letter can be chosen 3 times. Students will keep going until all the letters have 3 manipulatives beside them.

Race to Four – Each game mat includes a dice key and matching letters. Students will roll the dice, see how many dots they have, and see what letter matches that number of dots. Students will cover up the letters as they roll their dice to cover all the letters on their mat.

Letter Mine – This game includes letter cards, which allows you to pick and choose which letters would work best for your students to practice! Students will turn over a card in their pile, and identify the name of the letter. If they name the letter correctly, they will cover up a space on their board. If they say the incorrect name, they will put the card at the bottom of the pile and not cover up a space. The player with the most spaces covered at the end, wins!

Alphabet Splat – Students will be given the same amount of cards in a pile. They will turn cards over simultaneously onto the mat. If a pair is shown, the first student to yell “splat” wins, and will keep both cards. Players will continue until no cards are left.

Walk the Plank – Students will each start out with 7 cards in their hands. They will take turns asking each other for the matching uppercase or lowercase letter to make a match. If they cannot make a match, they will draw a card from the pile.
